The Gamma Xi Alumni Association was formed August 30, 1988 by approximately twenty members. The geographic location of the chapter at Washington State University in relationship to the populated areas of the state made it difficult to keep in regular contact with the undergraduates (WSU is located in a small town in rural eastern Washington, whereas the majority of Alumni live 300 miles away in the Seattle/Tacoma/Everett area). Therefore, it was resolved that the Gamma Xi Alumni Association be formed. Since then, our membership has increased to over 500 active members. We hold multiple events each year on both sides of the State. The objective of the Association’s activities is to further the brotherhood of the Alumni, encourage continued involvement with the undergraduates and support the International Fraternity’s mission of developing men of integrity, intellect and high moral character. While the majority of the activities are social in nature, such as the annual golf tournament and football game rallies, the underlying objective is fostering a truly lifelong fraternal experience.
